Manchester Brick Specialists – Prestwich Head Office Showroom

Manchester Brick Specialists needed a proper showroom at their Prestwich head office. Clients had been browsing pallets in a brickyard, and the team wanted a more engaging way to view and handle samples. RED delivered the project in-house, taking it from initial display requirements through to full showroom manufacture and installation.

The brief

The brief was practical. The new space needed to make samples easier to browse, easier to handle and easier to compare. It also had to feel clear and professional for visiting clients, while helping staff manage samples more efficiently day to day.

What started as a request for display boards developed into a wider showroom fit-out. The aim was no longer just to store samples. It was to create a functional, easy-to-navigate environment that improved the customer experience at head office.

Our approach

We handled the project in-house from design through to manufacture and installation. Keeping the process under one roof helped the scheme move from a simple display brief into a complete showroom fit-out without introducing extra coordination points.

Handheld sample panels were precision-cut from 8 mm MFC and built with integrated handles so clients could pick them up and compare options more easily. Wall-mounted displays used powder-coated steel shelves with angled mounts to present full brick panels clearly and bring out texture and colour.

Modular base units added concealed storage for extra samples, helping keep the showroom clean and easier to navigate. Durable materials and neutral finishes were used throughout so the brick range stayed the focus of the space.

Materials and build details

The display system combines 8 mm MFC sample panels, powder-coated steel shelving and modular storage units. These choices support repeated handling, practical sample organisation and a clean presentation across the showroom.

Finishes were kept neutral so the products remained visually dominant. That matters in a material-led showroom, where the display furniture needs to support comparison and decision-making rather than compete with the samples themselves. This is an inference from the page’s emphasis on neutral finishes and on highlighting the bricks’ textures and colours.

Installation and logistics

The page confirms that RED handled manufacture and installation in-house, but it does not currently give programme dates, phasing, access constraints or RAMS timing. Those details should be added if available, especially if this page is going to match the stronger case-study format used elsewhere.

Results and lifecycle value

The finished showroom gives Manchester Brick Specialists a more professional space for client visits and sample selection. Visitors can now explore and handle samples more easily, and staff can manage the range more efficiently during consultations.

The result is also commercially useful. The page says the new showroom helps visitors make decisions faster and reflects the quality of Manchester Brick Specialists’ products more clearly. Client feedback on the page is positive, with Chris Hilditch saying the team listened to the vision and delivered a result they were very happy with.
